Eye-Makeup-for-Brown-Eyes

Do you have brown eyes? If you’ve ever wondered about some tricks or tips you may be missing, we’ll try to cover them here. You’ll soon find that eye makeup for brown eyes is less challenging than for most others. Darker colors and black mascara go well. Accentuating with dark eyelashes and dark eyebrows is easy to do and rarely looks out of place. If you have lighter colored hair, you may also have lighter brown eyes. The makeup should be adjusted accordingly. That means ‘not so dark’. With lighter-colored hair, you can experiment with cream colors and also some dark blues and even greens. The challenge is mostly in your personal skin tone. Be sure that the colors you choose for your eyes also go with your skin tone – especially your face. If you change the color of your face to match your makeup plan, it won’t always match the rest of your body. Makeup all over your body is out of the question. So, watch out for blushes and lipstick colors and plan ahead.

When it comes to eyeshadow, perhaps colors like taupe or brown will work well. If you go all-out and experiment with brighter and lighter colors like pink, it may make your eyes truly sparkle. but, be careful: it may be too much. Grey tones for eyeshadow and eyeliner can result in that smokey look that is so popular right now.

Here are some miscellaneous tips which may be helpful. Pick the ones that may apply to you.

If you want natural eyes, pick the natural colors. This is also an easy thing to do if you are blessed with brown eyes. Basically all the earth tones are going to look great. Be careful, and make sure they go well with your skin tone and outfit.

A simple rule of thumb you may already know is this: lighter colors will accentuate, bring out and emphasize while darker colors will diminish and hide. Choose the aspects of your face you want to hide and those you want to accentuate.

The aspects of your face that you accentuate will naturally diminish other aspects whether you plan this or not. Don’t let your eyes compete with your mouth or cheekbones. Pick one aspect of your face depending upon the desired look. This will also matter depending upon the features with which you were born. Eye makeup for brown eyes normally includes an understated approach, but if your eyes are not a strong feature, you may want to emphasize them more. This is where makeup becomes an art and it becomes clear where some have spent time and focus and others put theirs on in a hurry. Never worry, though. With practice and time, you’ll have several ‘looks’ for yourself and what you learned here about eye makeup for brown eyes along with your own experience will give you a great foundation for future experimentation. Skin Care: Best Eye Cream Ingredients

Skin-Care-Best-Eye-Cream-

Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides. For plump skin cells nothing beats hyaluronic acid, which draws moisture from the air and holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water. In addition to hyaluronic acid, Jeannette Graf, MD, author of Stop Aging, Start Living, says that ceramides also help maintain hydration. A powerful new formula that includes both: Estée Lauder Time Zone Anti-Line/Wrinkle Eye Crème.

Retinol. “Anybody who can tolerate retinoic acid should use it,” says dermatologist Doris Day, MD. A vitamin A derivative, retinol stimulates cell turnover and collagen production, helping to strengthen skin and reduce complexion imperfections like sun spots and fine lines. Just remember that a little goes a long way; retinol creams make skin more sun-sensitive and can be overly drying, so apply sparingly before bedtime only. To get your nightly retinol dose, Day suggests Olay Professional Pro-X Eye Restoration Complex.

Neuropeptides. Supersensitive skin types might opt for a peptide-packed eye cream instead of a retinoic acid one. Like retinol, neuropeptides also stimulate collagen and elastin production, but are gentler on the dermis. “In studies applying various neuropeptide preparations directly to the skin, exciting clinical benefits were observed almost immediately upon application,” says Nicholas Perricone, MD. “There was visible improvement of the skin’s resilience, tone, and texture.” Try Perricone MD Neuropeptide Eye Contour to brighten your baby blues and for a double dose of peptides, look for Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Eye Shadow (available next month).

Vitamins C and E. Besides vitamin A (in the form of topical retinol), vitamins C and E are also potent antiaging ingredients. While vitamin C aids in collagen production and skin elasticity, vitamin E soothes and protects. MD Skincare Hydra-Pure Firming Eye Cream contains all three wrinkle-fighting vitamins

I Love Gritter!!

The holidays mean shares in the coming weeks; we dig into our clothes perfect game.

Fortunately, in December of British Vogue has given us a way to make the suits best without breaking the bank.

Glitter!

Who does not love a little brighter? Instead of a handful of light make-up artist Lisa Eldridge, said that the eye must be “bold, simple and beautiful, with the rest of the face kept naked and natural.” This large version of the glitter looks best in shades of gemstones such as emerald or cobalt, and a block of solid color on the eyes instead of shadow or liner. We have noticed a handful of tracks ES10, like Louis Vuitton, Betsey Johnson, and Derek Lam and works well with liquid liner, pencil black sequins or loose glitter pot shape.

We especially love this picture to shake out of the corner of my eye, because the kind of screams “special occasion”. So let us try – even if sometimes glitter brings bad memories of our days, the Cheerleading and 90′s pop stars – because it is perfect for your holiday, birthday or New Year’s bash.

Worst case, you will have a little glitter in his eyes, but we believe it is a small price to pay.

Do not neglect to your elbows

neglect your elbows
negligent

Hands and Neck used to be the tell tale signs of aging no matter how flawless the face but thankfully we have many products and procedures to tend to those areas now.  So that just leaves the… elbows!?!?  Who woulda thought they’d like to hear a sound like a tale of our age or not?  Sagging, aging elbows show rings (like a tree!) and must not be neglected!
I’m staring at Posh and I am actually frightened for her and her entire family.  She is literally disappearing before our eyes, raise your hand if you think Posh is too skinny.  Yup, I knew all of you would agree.  I’m even thinking the saggy elbows are due to emaciation, not age.  No matter, one must not neglect the elbows.  Here are a few tips to keep the skin there taut and supple:

1. Exfoliate ! See more of her elbow looks really dry? A good chemical exfoliant like glycolic acid would do the trick.  Unlike the face, the elbows are not sensitive and can stand higher percentage of acid.  (Try biting someone’s elbow, I swear they won’t feel a thing!)  If you lack the resources to buy glycolic acid– cut a lemon in half, rub on to elbows, leave the juice and rind on there for 5 minutes, rinse.  I don’t recommend physically scrubbing the elbows too hard as you’ll just pull at the skin.  The acids are best in this case.

2. Moisturize! Again, people forget to moisturize the elbows.  If yours are as dry as your heels, I’d turn to my trusty solution for extreme dry skin– AQUAPHOR!  Eye cream is good too if you can afford to buy box loads of La Mer eyecream to rub on your elbows like Kimora Lee Simmons does. Get Aquaphor $5.99 here

3. Sunscreen! Yes, the elbows suffer from sun damage everytime you drive, walk outside or play tennis.  We put sunscreen all over our face and body but most of us neglect to protect our elbows!

Have to do it. Capture your elbows follow the instructions above and see if you see the difference in months.
